Was that on XO or PC?
Thread moved to a beta feedback forums. Prefix added.
1- does it work with reborn?
Are you talking about Renew? The answer is no, as the unit has to be in your graveyard in order to be resurected. Ciri will always end up in your deck ready to be drawn again.
2-does triss (talking about another card now) deserve to be a legendary card by just inflicting 4 damage?.
That's a tricky one I'm afraid. ;)
She allows you to inflict 4 points of damage to ANY unit - gold included. In some cases that kind of ability is huge, as you are able to reduce the strength of a unit, that can not be harmed in any conventional way (lets not complicate things with Dimeritium Bomb and Dimeritium Shackles).
Now here comes the "however" part: her ability will be changed in the upcoming patch, as you will no longer be able to damage gold units.
So if you ask whether she is worth crafting now - I would say "not really". Was she valuable in the past? The answer is "Yes she was".
If you compare raw base strength then you are correct - 12 will always beat 9.
However the way Ciri: Dash works requires you to build a specific type of deck as you aim to play her more than once. Let's analyze the following example:
You can now see, that over the course of 3 rounds Geralt gained you 12 points of str. while Ciri gave you a total value of 36 points of str (9 + 12 + 15). That is the basic difference.
Please note, that her ability also triggers when she is discarded. Even though you are not gaining the value from play you still increase her base strength. That is the way every SK discard deck works:
Note, that if you manage to put all the other cards in your graveyard Ciri will remain the only card to be drawn.
Just make sure to select the right platform when you find a giveaway.
There are certain rules you have to follow, when creating a new deck:
Operator is a tricky card to begin with. What you want to do is to make sure you copy a card that works well with your deck, but does not benefit your opponent. Don't pay attention on STR of the unit you copy, as this will be nullified.
I think it has been mentioned on one of the CDPR streams, that this is how you see devs accounts. Not sure about that though - will try to find the source and link it here.
Nevertheless some of the UI features are disabled during such games (screen attached).
It is also worth to mention the old "Drowner" or "Vran" cards that some of us remember from previous patches. They were place holders that received a massive updates. I think it is safe to assume, that cards you listed will be aligned as well.
I think we need to go for the generic answer which is - "Let's wait and see as we are still in Closed Beta".
Few things to keep in mind:
With the two above in mind I would expect, the way leaderboard is organized, to change few more times.
Thread moved to general discussion forum. You may want to check out our news section as there is a key giveaway already:
Last but not least, please keep in mind not to advertise any auctions and sales as keys provided by CDPR are free of charge.
Those are two separate things - the cross-platform thingy you have in the settings menu works for casual games only. The moment you decide to jump into ranked matches requires you to chose where you want to be:
I regret joining XO only... Due to low population, matchmaking takes 10-15 minutes to find an opponent. What hurts even more is winning 80-90% and not being able to climb. I lose more points from lost games than I earn from wins.... I understand that winning a match with someone who is a few ranks below me should not boost me up - no doubt about that. The question is - what should I do when I'm already on the top of the ladder with 3000-3200 mmr? Used to be 5th... winning 6 games in the row granted me 20 points. Right now I'm on a losing streak and each game puts me like 60 points behind. Feels kinda pointless...
This match-up is not that bad. Just keep in mind the following:
As for the deck itself - think about removing Clan Brokvar Archer. Not sure they synergize well here.
Clan Dimun Pirate is a solid choice for each discard deck. Have you tried them?
One last thing - was that only a visual effect or str. was decreased?
Thread moved to beta feedback. Prefixes added.
Back to the topic now - maybe it's a long shot, but worth to be checked. I assume your friend is running win 10. Is she running admin account? Are there any special characters in the user name?
aaaahhh - see your point now. You're right.
That wont hurt much as those are relatively cheap. A good practice is to mill those artworks, you know you will not use (or to keep one of each).
However, I can't guarantee you, that we won't see a patch saying "different units with different artworks will have different abilities".
- delete useless scoia'tael options regarding who will start the next round ("me" when i just won or "opponent" when he did)
- Having a pinned post for this thread who could list all of these ideas, or even a pinned thread to the Beta section who could be used by devs as an easy to access global feedback list? I have no idea if gwentDB's admins would have the time to update or even create it but in case this/these threads grows too big I have little hope for our suggestions to ever reach any gwent dev. Maybe i'm going too far, don't really know if anybody else is feeling the same.
Were those 3 weather effects spawned by one card or he achieved that by playing multiple cards during his round?
Legendary drop in this game is kinda balanced- if you got one legend out of 70 kegs... Than you were REALY unlucky ;( I got up to 3 legends in one keg many times (only could choose one unfortunately) but keep in mind that after Beta Wipe you will receive all of those kegs bought with real currency once again. Also try not to discard valuables cards at first- you need to get to know your prefences
Hello and welcome.
Aglaïs is one of the strongest (if not the strongest) Scoiatael card so congratulations on this one. As for the overall result (1 legendary out of 70 kegs) well... it could be better. Luckily you will get plenty of free kegs daily so you'll get all cards you need really quick.
Last but not least - you will be able to open those 60 kegs once again. More info here: http://www.gwentdb.com/news/57-heres-how-gwent-will-transition-into-open-beta
Some of those concerns have been already addressed. We've been told that there is a plan to deliver:

Here's an article that summarize transition into open beta (including wipe).
At some point of a time you'll have them all - don't worry about that too much. In addition to that you have to keep in mind that things tend to change during beta. Legendary card you pick today may work in a different way next week.
So yes, you can use both of them in ST decks. ;)
There is a beta keys giveaway on GwentDB already (link provided below).
EDIT: Thread locked and moved to general discussion forums.
I have mixed feeling when I earn 10 points for winning 5 games in a row, only to lose 60 points when someone beats me. It probably means, that I reached my skill cap and my current rank reflects it. Do I want to get from rank 13 to rank 15? Of course! Am I good enough? I do not know - that's why I keep playing and trying.
I use one or two deck archetypes for most of the time, but I tweak them to keep up with meta changes. Maybe I'm too optimistic... maybe I simple refuse to accept things other people complain about... but I don't think the game is boring.
The reason people play just a few decks is that those decks are consistent - simple as that.
Increasing the minimum amount of cards required, will have the opposite effect in my opinion. Number of decks will decrease even further and you will not see any deck lists without some serious thinning/digging mechanism.
Bran + Mork seems to be very popular those days and Mork is the staple card of this deck, so he can't be replaced.
Yen would still be a better choice if your card pool is not that big. You will most likely find a good spot for her in case people start to tech against Meta-Mork.
Despite the fact that I jumped into Radovid-hype-train, I'm not a huge NR fan, so I can't make valid and up to date recommendations for you. There are some key units however, that you want to have in your card collection like: Field Medic, Reaver Scout or Temerian Foot Soldier.
Keep in mind that you'll also need plenty of neutral cards for your decks to work like First Light, Lacerate ect. Those are pretty cheap but there are some legendaries (also neutral) that work exceptionally good with NR like Roach or King of Beggars. Frankly speaking they work miracles in almost every deck... but in addition to those you've got a long list of cards like Villentretenmerth, Geralt: Igni, Ocvist, Myrgtabrakke, Aeromancy, Decoy, ect. You'll need them all at some point of a time.
Hello and welcome to the forums!
You should be able to keep up with all free kegs you earn on daily basis. That is also the reason you should wait a bit with exchanging scraps for cards to avoid getting duplicates at early stage of your Gwent experience (happened to me quite a few times already). Try to check out some of the NR decks we have here on GentDB to see what may fits you.
As for the recommendations... well if you're into NR then you will probably need Priscilla (200 scraps) and Prince Stennis (80 scraps). Most of decks are running those, as they help you with deck thinning and card advantage.
Even though Shani is not auto-include anymore, she is still played a lot - good for you. You may want to pick up Yennefer: The Conjurer (200 scraps). She's neutral, but in the same time she is one of the most used golds those days.
Not sure about Ciri though... I mean... she's a great cards which gives you up to 16 points of str and a card advantage. Unfortunately we're in heavy Radovid meta now. So you may find Ciri difficult to use.
It's not that complicated really :)
1. Vrihedd Sappers remove str when a Special Card is PLAYED - means they trigger as soon as the Special Card hits the board, but just before card's text is taken into account.
2. Prize-Winning Cow's ability is triggered when the card is removed from board. Cards are removed after you finish with all your actions (including those from special cards ect.). So even though you spanked that cow two times (2 dmg each) it remained on board.
My personal thoughts;
Draig should be returned to +3 base STR to all units in graveyard BUT should be made relentless and fleeting so he cannot be spammed (most games I was able to get +6 base STR to all units in graveyard and w/operator sometimes +9 base STR!!!!!)
King Bran should be returned to +2 base STR to 2 units and discard them; he was a mediocre leader card before and now he's in a worse position, being able to get Queensguard first round is great, but right now they can all be 1 shot by a well placed lacerate, 1 easily spammed bronze card can counter an entire deck
Cerys should be buffed to 10 base STR at least to account for the nerf to the base STR of the Queensguard (from 3 base STR > 2 base STR), even w/10 base STR you'd still end up w/less base STR than before w/Queensguard
after playing the last 3 hours ranked 2300 -+
skellige decks are the most OP and hard to handle.
that bring back to life with amazing base STR and the bear/guy combo is OP
i can handle most decks but Skellige ones are the hardest . they are very strong.
FL feels weird now. Weather on the other hand has been changed as well as weather affected units "remember" their buffed value.
As for the GAard - he's now more balanced than ever. Especially with introduction of "weather immunity" which is not defined by the row (frost, fog, rain).
Thread moved to beta forums on gwent feedback section. I've also added appropriate prefix (Feedback). As described by jmxd in this THREAD please note that:
[...] GwentDB is not affiliated with CD Projekt Red and therefore we are not able to respond to any threads in an official manner. However, we are aware that the developers occasionally browse the forums and have decided that a dedicated section for issues with the game can be helpful to them and the development of the game. It's not a bug, it's a feature.
Johnny - card description
http://www.gwentdb.com/forums/gwent-general/card-discussion/338-heres-johnny - thread with explanation
So if i am level 27 and rank 2 do i get 12 kegs?
thats more or less about 25 kegs per advanced player. if you add that the first 10 levels there are a lot of freebies (tutorial kegs, etc) thats about 35 kegs.
not what i expected, but could have been much worse, so cant complain.
I believe the goal was to target "last-round-NOPE" cards which allow you to swing points into your favor with no way of countering them. Although I personally think, that countering Isengrim was not really hard, developers were very clear during their stream - they did not like the mechanism in general (hence Madman Lugos update as well).
We are still in beta, so they may want to check which approach is better. Frightener has not been changed and there must be a reason for that.
I really like Clear Skies change. It will no longer be an answer to Weather decks, but also a very useful tool you should include in your deck. In the same time 4th option for Dagon increases his value (poor Eredin) and with other changes in mind (Geralt: Aard, Drowner) Weather Deck should become more and more popular (is that even possible?). Moving Fog-resistant units to Siege row?! How cool is that?
Tremors... why you do this? I can understand the need of a trade-off not sure that this is what I was looking for.
With changes to Promote and "Promotion" in general Geralt: Igni update may not be the best one. Although changing GIgni status from "must-have" to "nice-to-have" is a change in good direction I think. As for the "Dimeritium Shackle" - we all saw it coming, as "it's gold, can't touch this" mechanism was a little too frustrating. It is good to see that other NR cards got buffed a little. Lore-wise I'm glad to see that Philippa Eilhart change is followed by Radovid adjustment so he can't kill her.
I'm also delightful to see that Scoia received some well deserved love. Isengrim is no longer a last-round-NOPE card... which is good. Can't wait to see how this works out.
I think we may have a new go-to leader in Skellige faction. The amount of str removed now by Harald the Cripple is insane. Draig Bon–Dhu base strength buff may make him a viable card now which widens Skellige deck building options. Clan Dimun Pirate Captain will not be swiped off the board the moment he enters it, which makes me feel good as a Skellige player. Change to Medic mechanism was needed. Not sure whether Sigrdrifa deserved such harsh treatment though. On the bright side she can be considered as replaceable by the Restoration which should free up a silver slot. Last but not least - flame icon on Light Longship?! That's exciting!
New Card Category: Permadeath - Dear CDPR, don't forget about Nenneke please!
I know your pain as I spent loads of scraps to make a WC Monster deck and look what they've done to me! However I'm still more than happy to play Monsters now, as this is what we suppose to do as beta testers.
I've received my key for free, having great time playing before anyone can, they even drop me a free keg - what else could I possibly want? :D
You do realize what Beta means right? :D
