Hey guys, I just wanted to show you the list I just made and I have been successful with so far especially against swarm monsters. Currently I climbed from 3.8k to 4,070 mmr ish sorry I have no exact statistics due to problems with GwentUP & GwentDB. I'm posting this to get suggestions or advice for this archetype and hopefully some of you test it yourselves and give me feedback. Hopefully from the feedback you give me, I will add to my current deck guide called "Thinning (Buff)". Thanks again!
The deck seems to lack a bit of a clear theme in my opinion. Your card choices seem to be all over the place with different synergies but ultimately not enough support for any one strategy to get a real payoff out of any of those synergies.
You've got Yen but it isn't really a swarm deck, ithlinne but no real spell synergy, a bunch of buffs but only one card that really makes use of them. I really think you would be best advised to simply go all in on one of those synergies and forget about the rest. Build a spell based SK deck, a buff deck with ambush units or even go for the elven/Mulligan theme.
I think what you are going for is win R1 and boost braenn. Round two bleed your opponent to nothing why hoping to double play spy for trade of major point loss but get last play. Your hope being round 3 your opponent has one card that you hit with you 12-15 strength Braenn for the win.
If not feel free to ignore.
To keep you core strategy but improve I would recommend getting rid of dragoon and going with D. Agitator with a D. Mercenary this played to move BMC is a easy tempo 14 pt Bronze.
Trade tremor for thunder. This deck runs to many units for tremor. Ithlinne =>thunder usually gives you two units removed.
I don't like ADC to spy. I get seeing spy as critical but 2 silver and - 14 for 1 round not playing is not worth it. Yen doesn't synergize with this deck well as it is middle of the road in unit count. I recommend replacing these two with Isengrim +Toruviel. This is a big first round play and 1 thinning (with BMC +aelirenn 36 pt. Two card)
I personally don't like first light as a thinning (I hate random effects) but that's just me (I would use the Bronze weather clear elf).
NOTE: FYI non speltella St elf is not going to get you much past 4.2k (I gave up and switched to SK until the next patch for my attempt at 21) but best of luck.
Finally since 1/3 of the players are swim SK... Save your Aglais to pull the opponent restore on D. Agitator or E. Mercenary to first light for 29+pt single play.
BMC is useful for thinning, but start to shine if you can move them or buff them with Dwarven Mercenary, Yen, Vrihedd Vanguards or Quen. I know Quen is a low tempo play, but in my opinion worth it in a long run, so I think Quen + Merc would be the way to go, but to do it you must kick some bronzes. Probably Dragoons and/or Supports. If you do it Braenn loses its strength, as it becomes harder to handbuff her to a 10+ level. So she loses her impact as a finisher (and you don't have many dryads and ambush units to benefit from her other skill either).
I'd kick Dragoons, Hawker Supports, Braenn, Tremors and 1x First Light. That's one silver and 7 bronze slots.
Insert Myrgtabrakke. He's very useful in decks running Gigni or Scorch and you run both. For bronzes I'd go with Thunder instead of Tremors (for removal value) add Quen to buff and protect your BMC. You're left with 5 bronze slots, so go with Dwarven Agitators (x3) and Dwarven Mercenaries (x2).
I don't know how well Yen is working for you, but if you find yourself using Chiro more often than Unicorn, maybe it's time to say goodbye, as it means she's very matchup dependent and unreliable. You might go with Isengrim, like Mctravis suggested (replacing ADC with Toruviel), or Zoltan (It's a 20 pint play on BMC, but can also help you set up enemy board for Gigni/Scorch).
