Keep it civil. Being frustrated is understandable but try to act like you're talking to a real person instead of someone on the internet.
If i see another Axemen Skellige i will cry, FFS can't believe i had 7 matches on 10 against them, dropped from 2050 to 1800. Trying to climb as Mulligan Scoia'tael but seems to be actually hard, seems that i have to change faction to climb right now.
Send them my way please. Machine/rain deck I have eats them up, unless they are running Kambi.
I'm salty as an NR player with Savage Bears that Commandos don't pull if the target is hit. I would be fine if they either pulled pre-hit (same strength during deploy) or post-hit (needing +1 strength to pull), but they should pull in one of those situations. The bears absolutely ruin NR's deck thinning and subsequent mulliganing due to what I perceive as a programming bug. Not to mention that I'm deprived of 9-21 power in round 1.
Fortunately in this meta, no one ever sees Savage Bears
I was just trying out a Kambi deck with axemen+frost in casual and dunno why but today I was facing a lot of beginners in casual. Felt so bad when they got kambid or when they couldn't deal with axemen.
But I agree, Axemen + frost is ridiculous and that interaction needs a serious change.
I feel I heard some people saying that frost is going to be changed to do 1 dmg to highest unit and 1 dmg to the lowest unit. If this is true the change will at the very least limit the growth potential of Axemen and stop frost from being so crippling. I agree though that the interaction is extremely unbalanced as it stands...you are almost forced to run Mardroeme, shackles, and alzur's just to have a sliver of a chance.
This isnt really related to the game in specific, but more to do with these psuedo-celebrity twitch gwent streamers. Ive never been into watching people play cards. In my day, the only time you could watch people play a trading card game was magic the gathering once a year on espn 2 lol. now we have all these kids set up a mic and hop on twitch acting like they are the best thing to touch a tcg since jon finkle. I figured though, there are players obv better than me, and hey, why not give it a whirl and watch someone elses point of view on the game. I was in JJPasak's stream for 3 minutes when he hard body, out of the gate Margarita's a siege support. I said in the chat, I thought that was a bit aggressive considering he was going to turn around play another. This line of thinking apparently made me "f-ing retarded." Ok... lol... makes sense... his opponent turns around, reaver scouts into another support, thanks him, and JJ has to turn around and philipa the board lol, but somehow... Im retarded.... The channel proceeds to second guess him on the same move, "you all are retarded, you need to use your heads." He proceeds to get massacred in 2 straight rounds....

Plus the fact that you can't remove key targets such as bears, axemen, discard ship,and buff ship because they can easily bring it back with priestess. So the only choice that you have is to lock them.
I think we need to adjust weather further, but not the effect itself, only duration. Bronze and Silver weather being limited to 5 turns, Gold to 6 turns, and Clear Skies effect negating 4 weather turns (clears bronze and silver weather like before, but lets gold effect run for one more instance, to not completely counter a gold card with a bronze).
I think it's a very good approach. A Lacerate does 3 instant damage; frost only doing 1 instant damage should be able to run for 5 turns at least (units can be moved out of it, or effect can be cleared without losing tempo).
Weather turns can't be stacked and added together on one row (obvious reasons).
Some other changes: Cards like Aeromancy and Nithral will add one more weather (Nithral frost) turn duration. Axemen can be easily balanced to only boost themselves when units on opposing rows are damaged, aso, and so forth.
Believe it or not, around 3k you'll start seeing more variety in decks on the ladder. I swear though, 2k-2.8k was a fucking nightmare. Everyone and their dog was playing that front page Dagon deck, or some variant of axeman Skellige trying to climb out of that purgatory. Don't get me wrong, there's still a ton of monsters/SK in the higher ranks, but I'm actually seeing a lot of NG and NR now, and even some cycle (mulligan) ST and dwarf variants. That being said, I do still have to agree that either frost or axemen need nerfs so that synergy is less.. potent. And that's coming from a SK main. I personally love SK and always have, but I'm not gonna pretend like it's not wildly OP.
