    Hey guys! So I was eager to log in today and get to work on the new leader challenges, but as far as I can tell, it seems you can only acquire them via crafting. Has there been any word as to whether or not they'll only ever be accessible by crafting them, or are there new leader challenges in the works? I just don't want to throw away scraps if they'll soon be available for free when I already have a handful of new golds to make.

    It's a slight overtuning issue with the Officers, but a lot of people also neglect the fact that the power ceiling of bronzes in general has been dramatically increased with this patch. The removal of gold immunity has incentivized CD:PR to direct the focus of deck building to the bronze core, rather than the R3 gold finisher. Folks are seeing these massive 150 point rounds that mulligan is now capable of (albeit spending all but perhaps one card R1 to achieve such a high number) and freaking out, saying it's overpowered, when in fact that same amount of power can be achieved by new armor-flood archetypes rolling around in NR. The difference is that mulligan ST, with the aid of the overtuned Officers, can achieve the power ceiling with the least amount of setup/sequencing. An easy way to balance this is to drop the Officers' base power back down to 4, or perhaps even 3. It'll be a big enough hit to make a difference without breaking the now-viable mulligan archetype.

    I used to complain about never being lucky myself. Then this happened last night, so I really can't say that anymore, lul. The ironic part, though, is that from the 3 to choose from at the end, Yen the Conjurer was one of them, and I crafted her LITERALLY 30 minutes before opening this. At least Stefan Skellen was a dupe so I got some of my scraps back from him... T.T

    In-game description: 

    "Lock: Disables a card's abilities. Disables and turns over Ambushes. Prevents a Unit from counting towards a Trio."

    I've double checked, and this same prompt appears for DShackles. I also have had this problem, and have lost a couple games from it. It's been a known bug for a couple weeks now. There's a couple posts regarding it on the official CDPR forums, and they're more than likely going to assess it in the next hotfix. Cheers :)

    It's highly doubtful that the new golden Vesemir will have any affiliation with our current silver one. The most likely scenario is that there will be a new version of him, just like there are multiple versions of Yennifer, Triss, Geralt, Zoltan, Regis and Ciri already. The only difference in question is that the aforementioned characters' cards/versions are all golden, and Vesemir will be the first with both gold and silver counterparts. I personally don't think they're going to change our current silver muster witchers, though.

This whole thing has been skewed out of proportion.. no harm was meant to come from it, but I'm sorry for stirring the pot to begin with. How bout we just drop it.     Man @IBTG_revive, I'd seen you around the forums quite a bit and usually liked what you had to say, but I have to admit I've lost a ton of respect for you, bro. It was obviously a joke, and one that shouldn't have required any explaining if you had a big enough fucking brain to process simple humor. I was in no way ragging on this dude's second language, and I just thought the choice of word "crag" was funny, for whatever reason. I had to make a poke at it. Was it meant to be malicious? Of course not, and it should've been apparent in my context and use of a ":D" at the end to indicate the lightheartedness of my remark. Thanks for the good laugh though, especially with the indications that I'm the unintelligent one here.. that fucking killed me lol

    That would unfortunately ruin many games. If the one starting the first round has the better hand, he/she could oppress the opponent to the point of giving up vital cards in their then-incomplete combos/win conditions. Passing is one of the most important aspects of the game, and allows you to back out, recoup and reformulate your game plan moving forward had you been dealt a poor hand in the beginning, regardless of who won the coin flip.

    This. Let's compare Triss to, say, Priscilla for a moment. Both golds serve the same intended purpose of boosting units on your side, but the value of Triss (not saying she would be run in a NR deck) is nearly unlimited if left unchecked. So if you're unlucky enough to not have anything in hand to counter the effect or damage their board, you're shit outta luck if the round plays out long enough. Either limiting the number of units boosted or putting a turn-based cap on her like Priscilla has would balance her quite nicely, imo.

    I do foresee an incoming rework of Triss Butt, for sure. CDPR won't let it go on forever. But I agree with Lesser3vil in that near the 4k range there's a wide variety of decks being played. I played a good 15 games in ranked today and saw Dagon maybe four or five times.

    Agreed. I personally aim to use Johnny in conjunction with Cerys rather than running C:D for my ladder discard deck, but I do have a (more on the fun side) deck I play in casual that uses that exact combo, as well as Sarah to further increase the chances of pulling it off. Both my deck "Crescendo's Combo Mulligan" as well as PetrifySC2's "Ciri is a THOT" (which inspired my usage) use this exact synergy, but within a mulligan archetype if you care to look into it.
