I am so sick of people playing Foltest. I am just above 4000mmr and I'm just lingering there because I can't get around Foltest. it is my worst match up and 75% of my games today were against it.. Hilariously enough, I have been climbing with Nilf Shupe. It actually wrecks Greatswords; Consume and Dagon weather haven't been much of a problem either. Anyways, I'm glad Letho killed him.

Truly my biggest gripe I've ever had about this game is that matchmaking is 100% NOT random, but rather determined by what leader you use. You have played Foltest non-stop at 4k+, while I have used a different deck/faction and faced Jan Witchers 30 out of my last 32 games above 4K. And I bet anyone reading this that has used just 1 deck has faced a specific deck 75+% of the time they have played. Every.single.season. I just would appreciate CDPR not lying about it. At least be open that you're using a formula to try and make win/loss ratios more balanced so that you can rake in more money off card sales, only for the player to later find out it doesn't matter if you have a full collection or not. Regardless of your cards they will pair your leader off with leaders you are most succeptible to the vast majority of the time you play.

I want true random. I'm fucking sick to death of Jan Calveit.

    Quote from L0RdSeverus >>

most of the people who could get cards from that event are either content creators who play every day and don't even need the extra cards or people who literally have nothing to do but play video games all day(And those people are most likely teens and children who can't even pay to support the game in the first place since they don't have a job. I'm not being rude to those people by the way. I was doing the the same at that age). A one day event is not fair for the hardworking part of community who don't check the game 24/7. It seems unfair to me that you're criticizing the OP's thread. Yes, CDPR has been more than generous with these events BUT and this is a huge one, they could have simply not held a one day event or given notice in advance for players to be ready. Also, the game has been dead for months now which makes it a lot less likely for people who have a real social life to play it daily. It's ironic that I'm wasting my time with writing this comment to prove a point that my time is valuable. At least I hope now you can understand OP's point of view.

I mean, I work full time, have 2 kids, am with the kids 90% of the time im not working or sleeping before work and I still managed to get on in time. You could check on here for all of 2 minutes that morning to know about the event. Why bash those who were more observant?

But nowadays, you have to use powder and scraps to craft an HQ card. So the question I'm wondering, is what happens to all the powder we are supposed to get from milling? Should we mill those cards now in order to get the powder? Some of us, powder is all that matters now. Im only working towards 100% HQ at this point.

posted a message on Why are you playing casual?

When you get up high on the ladder, testing a deck isnt a great idea (anywhere at 4k+), so the only other options to test are on Casual, or Pro Ladder. And Pro Ladder is gone, so expect even more decks like that on Casual this season.

    Thank you Krysyden!

Surprising how little info on this there was online, including this website! I did a few searches today and found nothing. Appreciate this link!

Is my system wanged out, or is Pro Ladder gone? I was top 400 on Pro ladder last season, and I still don't have the option to play on Pro Ladder since the season reset.

Im open minded, but no silvers is something Im not fond of. How they implement that change could make or break it for me. Especially now with only 2 rows, and only 2 of each bronze allowed. If they keep Ciri Nova as is the game is dead to be perfectly honest, cause every single deck has every reason to run it.

Im almost willing to guarantee there will be another premium keg weekend before Thronebreaker. You get best value from opening kegs on those weekends. Best thing you can do is save up until then. And as someone above said, don't mill anything until Thronebreaker

GS is not as good as many say now. People have had time to learn how to beat it. Look at Shupe ST as an example. You have Silver Mage, Decoy, Shupe (which can replay Silvers on board), and Isengrim Outlaw, which can either pull Decoy from your deck, or often times it offers to create a silver mage (or the lock mage). I can't tell you how many games against GS I have used Silver Mage 4 times in 1 round to just Azure Thunder both their ships and Greatswords into the grave over and over. It forces them to use their resurrects up in round 1, or they have to fold, losing round 1, after having built up nothing. It completely cripples their game plan. And there are multiple other viable control decks that can do similar. GS is just not as good as people say anymore. Calveit Witcher is the current crack deck.

The biggest point swing I've pulled off was a 108 point Igni. It was glorious. Like 6 or so seasons ago. I forgot to submit the video that season. I still have it saved on system.

Just pulled off an 84 point Shupe 2 days ago. Opponent Monster Consume. All their units on board were 20+. Stole a 40 point unit with Charm on last play to win by like 30 something points. Always nice to stick it to a Nekker deck.

Playing Top 1000 for first time, running a budget deck. It's so frustrating, especially the moment I played top 500. Everybody runs copy & paste top tier decks and if they lose, nobody GGs. Generally almost nobody GGs, except they beat you with GS going one card down into last round - because, well, if you don't draw you removal or play Alchemy, you lose. What a good game!

Feels like playing against a bunch of egoistic jerks.

like 95% of decks in the top 1k are Calveit atm. It is honestly annoying, even if I'm running like 60-65% against them. People talk about all the parody on the ladder, but that parody dies a flaming death when you get up high enough.

posted a message on Tempo Calviet

except 99% of these decks run Mandrake, so Aglais not only never bricks, but most of the time it destroys Tempo Calveit's highest tempo plays.

And Barclay is consistently an 18-20 point play, there is no tempo in the game outside of snowballed Nekkers, or NG handbuff that can make 18-20 points moot.

If ST Shupe beats you in round 1, they can just bleed your top tempo plays out in round 2, and at that you better hope they don't have silver spy and Shupe, cause then they can flip to being 1 card up in round 2, and bleed every card out of your hand, putting you at a 1 card disadvantage in round 3, while they held on to their best point play left.

CA option on Shupe procs like 75% of time, and silver spy has a 33% of giving you Shupe before you've even thinned out, and that's typically their worst case scenarios. You can have all the tempo in the world, and it wont mean a thing if you're a card behind in round 2 against them.

Even if you layer your buffs, Shupe decks typically run 5-6 damage cards, and Schirru, so lining up a big scorch isnt too hard in most cases.

ST Shupe is the current glitch in the system. Shupe is outrageously broken 90% of the time, which propels the deck to tier 1. Add Schirru and Aglais and Tempo Calveit is sweating the whole match through. It boils down, most of the time, to having double the CA cards of any other deck, but also having easy access to the best card in the game if you have silver spy in hand. If it starts with Silver Spy & Shupe, it has advantage over every other deck in Gwent atm. Until CDPR nerfs Shupe.

posted a message on Lets talk about pussies.

I can see how that would affect a newer player, but truly CDPR gives no incentive to finish out. Each game takes 6-20 minutes, with the dailies they have in place they must realize that they actually create this kind of atmosphere themselves. And forcing players to finish out is too militant for an upstart game, or any game, so ultimately your best bets to see a game finish is to play practice, or get on the pro ladder (and at least half pro matches end the same way).

Plus, Pussies? They take the hardest pounding. So is OP complementing people who forfeit?
